Pastor David Powell earned a Bachelors degree at Cornerstone University and a Master of Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary.
He has served in a variety of ministries including pastorates in Iowa and the Santa Barbara area, as well as Bible College Instructor in Ankeny, Iowa, and short-term missionary with Baptist Mid-Missions in Australia. He is currently serving on the Council of 15 for the California Association of Regular Baptist Churches.
In August, 1999, Pastor Powell was called to Sunnyside Baptist Church.
His preaching ministry emphasizes in-depth, verse-by-verse Bible teaching. Pastor Powell is also a talented singer and musician and regularly plays guitar and brass instruments
Pastor Powell and his wife Vicki have 3 sons, Joshua, and twins, Bryce and Brendan.
